A Dyadic Biography

Originating Energies

For years, around every event I have seen various probabilities and have sought to connect with the one that was the best in terms of what I was making significant, (including what is in the highest good of all being everywhere). Moreover, I had learned how to look to the future and select a probability in the immediate present, but leave it open until it was time to decide whether to firm it up or not. Then in February, the process I use overall became clearer: When I/we emphasize a certain probability, we send energies forth in multidimensional ways to gather information about that selection. By realizing even more consciously how the process works, it made perfect sense and correlated with my experiences. After initially originating probability energies, at later times go-ahead green lights inwardly emerge regarding which path to take as I look to the future, and at other times there are various amounts of green and orange signals, or actually a red light.

This is from my journal of February 14, 2007: “Before going to bed last night, I wrote about two probabilities and purposely sent out energies I thought might come back with some multidimensional perspectives during my dreams. Since I wanted more than a yes-maybe-nothing answer, I didn’t use my pendulum. I was quite aware I was making a choice that would affect, to a large extent, the path I took in the future and would also affect Jim’s life. I knew this was a decision I needed to make as the spirit-being I had finally become—a vast enough self amidst another matrix and reality—to make really good decisions too, along with those my body organism and multidimensional aspects make.

“What I was considering was purchasing two extensive CD courses of religious historical studies that would require a lot of me and my body organism’s time and attention sometime, even though it could be years into the future. The courses held some interest for me and were on sale at a reasonable price until March 7th. The other probability I was looking at was to not get them, thereby freeing me/us much more for other potentialities to emerge, and also not involving Jim in this type of extensive historical focus.

“In a dream just before awakening the next morning, I was in an artists’ gallery in a woodland setting. I had been there before, feeling some interest in a few pieces. When I came back the second time, one of the gallery owners, a female, rushed up while telling me she had been trying to contact me: three of the items I’d been interested in were on sale at such reduced prices I could get all three! After listening to her, I stepped back from the situation and as I did so I awoke, continuing to look at the event from multiple angles. In my awake dimension, I made the choice to offer the gallery owner what seemed to me to be a fairer and higher price than the reduced ones, and more than likely I’d only get one piece. I’d also decided that if she refused my offer, then I would have another situation to play with.”

To fill out more of the story, for years I’ve been energizing designs of being appropriately on the input side of my Life, being aware in the immediate present of what is taking place, realizing each event is a unique opportunity to be in relationship with what is happening without needing to use automatic patterns, and selecting which me and matrix I choose. In addition, for decades Jim and I have seriously considered the possible effects of each one of our choices as consumers. Since I also use careful reflections about the amount of money I spend as part of the mix of “all things considered,” reduced prices can be significant. In other words, there’s a lot going on, from my point of view, in each relationship and situation.

That morning after my dream, in terms of how to interpret it regarding the CD purchase decision I was making, the clincher was Jim telling me he had such a headache during the night he got up and took two aspirin. (He rarely experiences headaches.) I heard it as a clear message from his body organism. Even though he had already said he would be fine with whatever I decided, obviously his body wasn’t agreeing.

When Jim and I were in town that day, we had a lovely Valentine’s Day lunch, which for me was an especially celebratory time. I felt truly liberated from needing to use any specific pattern or play any specific role. No, I didn’t purchase the two religious history courses for the future—instead, I’m choosing to leave room and be available for new realities and experiences.

The day after word-processing the above materials for this chapter, I/we were drawn to return to Daniel Pinchbeck’s book 2012, The Return of Quetzalcoatl. His book had been the initiating catalyst in the summer of 2006 for the updated worldview and process we’ve been describing thus far. When I first read 2012, I took almost twenty pages of notes, which also included my comments. For my second involvement with it on Sunday and Monday, February 18th and 19th, 2007, I went back and forth between my notes and directly rereading many book pages.

When I had first read about Daniel’s experiences in the jungle of Gabon, West Africa, taking iboga, a psychedelic root bark that he says is the center of the Bwiti cult, I had many thoughts about using drugs for consciousness expansions. I had written in my notes, “As I contrast my experiences with Daniel’s, what I see is that since I haven’t used drugs for these purposes, my expansions and revelations have come through dreams, meditations, prayers, being attuned to inner visions and other inner senses, reading what others have focused on, and personally experimenting with various designs.”

Daniel’s night with iboga was one in which he felt a presence guiding him through a detailed tour of his early life. He learned that night he was free to reinvent himself if he had the will to do so. I too have had many experiences wherein I felt a guiding presence—in dreams, meditations, and at times in awake states of awareness.

After reflecting about what I read regarding Pinchbeck’s many experiences with psychedelic drugs, my perspective is that there are spirit-beings without physical bodies in varying matrixes—often called astral planes—who have their own personal, control-type agendas going on, in relationship with those of us who have physical bodies. Without using fear, I think it’s wise to evaluate the inner messages one receives from a standing-back, spirit-being perspective of health and well-being.

Going back three decades to the Sierras, during the time I was doing so much spiritual exploring in all directions, along with being divinely advised that I didn’t even need to search in what were called astral planes where there is a lot of fear, I was also inwardly hearing that it was unnecessary for me to use drugs for any awakening insights and experiences. Added to that was what I was reading in the Seth/Jane Roberts books at the time. I interpreted Seth saying the use of psychedelic drugs could blast an ego structure in confusing and disabling ways, whereas a conscious step-at-a-time development could be done safely. That made sense to me, and so I have followed what seemed to me to be wise advice.

Expanding the field of vision, I’m seeing a big difference between cultures that have traditionally used various plants such as iboga and ayahuasca as part of their sacred ceremonies for centuries, and Western experimentations that are not done within that type of a knowledgeable and expansive matrix that oftentimes includes the whole community. I’ve read that for millennia, shamans in the Amazon basin have made ayahuasca, a hallucinogenic mixture they say enables them to communicate with plant spirits as the “animate essences” that exist in all life forms.

Returning to the year 2012, according to the ancient Mayan and Toltec civilizations, the end of “The Great Cycle” of more than 5,000 years will be taking place near the end of December 2012. On the first page of the Introduction of his book 2012, The Return of Quetzalcoatl, Pinchbeck presents his theory that human consciousness is rapidly transitioning to a new state, a new intensity of awareness. It will manifest as a transformed realization of time and space and self; it is already underway, though largely subliminally. The return of the Mesoamerican deity Quetzalcoatl, the plumed serpent, is said to be depicted in sculptures and temple friezes as a fusion of bird and snake, representing the union of spirit and matter.

(Additional information. When I researched the term “Mesoamerica,” the definition I decided to use is: a geographic and cultural area that extends from central Mexico, including the Yucatan peninsula, through portions of Central America—Belize, Guatemala, and parts of Honduras and El Salvador. Culturally, it includes the historic Olmec, Maya, Toltec, and Aztec civilizations before the Spanish conquest—and then afterwards. My dictionary says “meso” means “middle,” hence I'm seeing Mesoamerica as an area between North America and South America.)

There are other contemporary people whose writings I’ve read, who are setting forth a worldview that when the current cycle ends, there will be an automatic global shift towards a more peaceful world. In response to the automatic-more-peaceful-world probability, I continue to think the agreements we spirit-beings made about what I’ve termed “an experiment” are coming undone, energy-wise. Therefore, there are more opportunities to know oneself as an Essential I/spirit-being even more directly, which also means more freedom and more choices.

My personal interpretation of the plumed serpent symbol is that it represents in our mutual human psychic structure the advent of we humans being able to more consciously, effectively, and skillfully use our divine-given powers. I think one of these is the power of our imaginations to envision/create so that what has been previously called “magic” and “impossible” can be appropriately brought forth into our lives.

From my first reading of 2012, I had noted that Daniel Pinchbeck and I are in agreement that whatever happens in the future requires our human active engagement, and he too sees it as an individual choice for each of us to make.

A few years ago I was playing around with seeing what I’ve called the DCBA experiment as a small part of an ocean of probabilities we spirit-beings can energize as a reality to experience. At the time I called the ocean of vast, unlimited possibilities Matrix 1. Then I drew a picture with which I used colored pencils, designating the DCBA experiment as Matrix 2, an enclosed portion within Matrix 1, with a bridge showing we spirit-being humans walking across it. We were able to walk back and forth on the bridge between the two dimensions—Matrix 1 and Matrix 2—when we chose to do so.

On July 21, 2005, more than a year before these writings began, I used the above picture I had drawn as part of a Vision Quest ceremony I titled, “The Fires of Desire.” I was celebrating myself as an Essential I/spirit-being with a primary body form in relationship with this basic system of reality, amidst an overall ocean of divinity. The setting was outdoors on the hillside above the pond, under the very large maple tree there. It was about 4:30 p.m. The wind was changing directions as it swirled all around. The sky was overcast. A butterfly and chipmunk came by.

During the ceremony I listened to two musical selections by contemporary Native women from an audio tape, Weaving the Strands. The first was Alice Gomez’ “Earth Prayer.” She is of Mexican Indian and Latino heritage, focusing on the musical styles of the Aztec, Inca, and Maya people, including their instruments. The second was Mary Youngblood’s “Winds of Change.” Mary is of Aleut and Seminole ancestry. She was playing a Native American flute in an underground cavern in California. For my ceremony I also used a Japanese bell, a gorgeous shadow box by Char Bickel titled “Elegant Planet,” a drum, my flute, and water that was in a hand-crafted clay container.

Again, my ceremony included a horizontal alignment with all Earth species, Gratitude, and prayers for the Earth’s health.

After my ceremony was completed, I turned my energy expressions over to overall divinity, in terms of them fluidly interweaving and manifesting for the highest good of all being everywhere.

The July “Fires of Desire” Vision Quest was the first ceremony in 2005, followed by one on my birthday, October 13th, and another on March 20, 2006, for the spring equinox that began “My Year of Putting It All Together.” Within them all, I was expressing my Appreciation for the sacred wondrousness of Life. To my way of thinking, the ceremonies I plan for and experience are potent ways to be clear about my/our intentions, focuses, and energy originations.
